Having a good project manager on site running things is essential when developing your building project. That’s why at Reed Interiors we not only support you with schedules and updates on the building progress, but we also keep you up to date on accounts and purchasing, keeping you in touch every step of the way.

When we manage a project we like to run things as much as possible, however we are always happy to oversee other workers and contracted in trades that the owners may prefer or have worked with before. Our professional standards of workmanship are clear to see and we guarantee all work and building services, through our project management service.

Project Management fees start at 12.5% of the overall builders’ or contractors’ fee.

We offer a service of specifying and sourcing the right interior products and materials. We search for the perfect blend of products carefully chosen one room at a time, a great interior service for your home or business.

Choosing the correct products for your interior is an area which takes time. Sitting down with all the information in front of you is where it starts, seeing how each product and texture relates to one another and then developing the scheme so that it looks and feels amazing.

Depending upon the type of interior this services varies immensely. Some products flip between commercial and residential interiors, and can add some real wow factors to the scheme.

The specified samples are normally presented within the emailed Moodboards. Later the real samples are posted direct to the client for their  approval.

Designing light features is one of my personal favourite design services, because it’s so creative. It all sounds simple however it requires great passion & skill to produce something amazing to set off the interior space. It could be a light feature designed for a shop window or for a restaurant, we design and make it individually for you. Even something special for a beautiful house to make an impact and produce a talking point feature.

We use a selection of materials to produce each light feature, including fibreglass, plastics, resins, coloured glass, metals, semi-precious stones. Each design is drawn freehand and transposed into a working design ready for development into the finished product. Many of the designs are hollow and can be easily lit using LEDs with various lighting controllers producing brilliant light shows. They may be either hung from ceilings or wall mounted depending upon the specification.

Larger light features can also be designed and produced based on specific inquires from hotels, restaurants, bars and other commercial premises that require light features that become talking points. Please contact us for more information.

Reed Interiors offers interior design consultations where we meet privately and discuss new plans and ideas. This is your chance to tell us what inspires you? What kind of interior schemes are you looking for and why? Or just leave it with us to bring out the truth about finding a scheme that is going to work for you. We normally take photographs of the area at the time and measure if required or even produce initial sketches/ plans of the proposed interior. It’s personal, it’s quick but most of all it gets the project moving in the right direction.

Our meetings/ consultations are normally chargeable however the fees are refunded against any orders or involvement within the project. The consultations may last some time depending upon the complexity of the project and size of the property. During this time is when we start to see things happen and the ideas for products and design come to life. We are able to offer professional advice on a range of areas including structural building elements of the property and health and safety issues which may effect the design and budget.

After the first consultation we will start to produce our plans based on your project’s needs and start bringing together the ideas which are then presented or emailed directly to you. We find our customers are always happy with our schemes and have confidence in us to produce award winning business or residential environments.

Good building plans and layouts are essential when planning your interior project. We provide detailed plans outlining elevations including wall modifications. Many of our clients already have an architect involved within the project before we come in. This provides us with a great foundation to start developing the schemes and ideas.

The plans at this stage maybe pencilled in, however it’s always important to see how everything is going to fit before walls and rooms are divided up.

We often draw up building plans and then look at what space we have to play with, for example, where we  look for space to make bedrooms and ensuites using stud partitions and structural supporting walls in order to maximize the existing space. At the same time we take into account many other factors such as sun direction and accessibility.

For our structural building & design we work with Tony Snell www.arnoldsnellbuilding.co.uk , Tony has been a master builder for many years and has extensive knowledge of building and is structural alterations building specialist.

Finding the right interior design mood boards and finding the correct combinations of colours and materials can be a difficult process. At Reed Interiors we provide you with detailed product interior Moodboards, combined with colour schemes making it a quick and effective way to see the scheme before any specifying starts.

Interior design Mood boards and colour schemes are compiled individually for each interior space. The Mood boards present the area complete with specified products which may be bought in or made up as bespoke products. The Mood boards also present the information in a visual format enabling our clients to quickly and easily make decisions concerning purchasing and choosing the correct furniture.

Colour Schemes may also be presented within the Mood boards and demonstrate the careful blend between materials and products. This service is a great way to see everything that’s going into the room, including lighting and accessories.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh contemporary bed in dark solid wood frame in lacquer. Bed design is complete with headboard inserts in gold glass designed to be LED backlit. I love the work of the great designers, Charles Rennie Mackintosh is one of my favourites. I designed the bed to reflect the influence of the Japanese technics of lacquering whilst keeping the overall design open and not blocked in..

Shown left is a little child’s Tomas the Tank table, complete with a centre storage for colouring pencils. The table was designed by Vince Reed to be flat packed, made in MDF with applied images and is available upon request, sizes may vary. We also design children’s rooms and decorate them using lots of fun ideas to make them into something special and individual.
